The Diver Project
I started this project some time ago at AMC Pixel Factory as an internal workshop using “layers as construction approach ”. Recently we uploaded online a PDF file with the steps I used  for modelling this character. More informations can be found on the VisualArt.ro forum. The PDF file it’s in Romanian language.

Now looks like a gladiator …still more to add.
First test render with Mental Ray, Maya
[RO] Am vazut pe site-ul editurii Polirom via Daniel Micu ca a fost editat si al doilea volum de anatomie artistica: Anatomie artistica. Vol. II: Formele corpului in repaus si miscare. O sa incerc sa ii fac o mica prezentare cat mai in curand. Categoric aceasta luna o sa fie luna cartiilor de anatomie artistica aparute si cumparate … nu e rau deloc.
After searching the internet and bookstores a long time, I found Gottfried Bammes anatomy books, at least some of them on the Bookdepository, the online bookstore. So, I ordered them without blinking.
Die Gestalt DES Menschen (only German Edition) - I ready have got a Xeroxed copy but in black and white with bad image quality. The text it’s in German language, but even without a proper understanding of the text, the illustrations speak for themselves. And there are illustrations on almost all pages. One of the most wonderful anatomy books around here…
The Artist’s Guide to Animal Anatomy and The Artist’s Guide to Animal Anatomy also written by  Goddfried Bammes are translated in English … looking  forward to studying them.
After blocking the main forms and proportions with the mock-up mesh, I created a cleaned mesh. In the next pass I will add more fine details and also I will prepare the mesh for some posing tests.
